This is How Firstlife Ended

In case you need a refresher before reading the sequel!

Many Ends is connected to Myriad and Ten’s crazy aunt can tell the future. The song that she and Ten always sings is a series of instructions on how to get to Myriad through Many Ends. Ten somehow manages to die and come back THREE EFFING TIMES in the book, and the third time (when her aunt STABS HER IN THE NECK AND MURDERS HER) is when she discovers that Myriad is connected to Many Ends. She saves two people and they make it to some weird middle ground place where they have the ability to sign with either Myriad or Troika, and they signed with Troika.
Myriad has apparently known all along that they are connected to Many Ends and that’s why they sometimes say “they’re better off dying unsigned than dying signed to Troika” because they know they have a way of getting them in the end anyway.
Sloan and Killian were going to be executed as a way to lure Ten into the area so she could be either killed or forced to sign with Myriad but Deacon killed Pearl. But then someone killed Sloan (but she still has second life) and also killed Archer. It was his second death so now he’s dead dead. Tear.

Killian is going to be killed because he failed to get Ten to sign with the Myriad. He was in his shell and dying, but refused to leave his shell and be safe until he was sure that Ten was ok. She was dying, and he told her to sign with Troika because he wanted her to be happy and he knew she wouldn’t be happy in Myriad. She said she needed to go to Many Ends to help all the unsigned there and tells him that she will find a way to save him too, but before her last breath, she signed with Troika.
What the fuck.
I know.
